It was to the beach. This is the journal entry I wrote on the first night of the trip.

“The bus ride started at 7:00 am in the morning. First, when I went on the bus, I thought I had way too many bags. When I sat down beside Saphira I found found out that I didn’t.

“When Ms. Holck told us to get in our teams and choose a team name and make up a chant, I for no reason though of Silly Noodles which didn’t get that much votes. Then Cody came up with Venom.  Alot of members liked it, but I didn’t. So he added Red to Venom, which became Red Venom. I did not like that either. Then out of the blue, someone came up with Technowave, which eventually became our team name.

“After a while, Ms. Bekka handed out scavenger hunt sheets. After a couple minutes of working on it, I quickly got bored. Then Harry, Coco, and Luke came and played UNO with me. Luke won first, then Coco, then Luke again. Becuase Harry and I didn’t win, we tried to take revenge. Harry and I teamed up against Coco and Aung Myo Htet. Coco and Aung Myo Htet won the first game and after being sick of losing, Harry and I decided that we would win, and we did!

“The bus ride ended about around 1:30 at the Bay of Bengal Resort. My roommate Kate and I were just talking in our room, and then the phone rang. Kate went to answer it but before she could, it stopped ringing. So after a couple minutes of doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING we became suspicious and went to the reception. On the way to the reception we saw our class and then I whispered to Kate: We’re getting into trouble on the first day!

“Kate replies: I’m a trouble maker… da da da da! ;)

“Then we had lunch. The soup was delicious, but all the salads tasted the same. I hate it when that happens.

“After lunch, we had to practice team chants for 5 minutes. Technowave didn’t make up a chant in the bus, so, we had to make a chant up in 5MINUTES!. I still can’t believe it won the best chant award. we’re lucky… I guess

“On the beach we did some beach activities. I don’t remember what we did, but I sure do remember that we won both activities! :D

“It was free time after the activities. A lot of people went swimming. I wanted to go, but Kate told me not to. After changing into my swimsuit with a BIG shirt over it, I told Kate I was going to go for a walk. But I jumped in the swimming pool instead. :)

“After free time we ate dinner and Ms. Bekka told us a story: The Listening Walk. It was childish and cute. Then WE went on a listening walk. I actually did NOT like walking around, not talking on SAND. At the end of the walk we found Ms. Hock! We lighted candles and sang songs. We also told ghost stories. We had to keep our candle babies SAFE!

“The whole class went back to the hotel. We really had a fun time.”

I was really sleepy when I wrote that, but that doesn’t explain the horrible voice… does it? …didn’t think so.

Just after I wrote that journal entry, somebody knocked on the door. Dear Kate went to answer the door and then Kate ran back to my bed jumping and screaming. I wasn’t scared. Who am I kidding…. I was screaming along with her! I didn’t know why! and I screamed with her! I feel so stupid.

Me: What! What! What! AAAAAAAH!

Kate: -breathes heavily- there…. -pants- was nobody there…

Me: WHA?!

Kate: AAAAAAAAAAAH!

Me: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Really…. I feel so ashamed.

Then the German dudes staying right above our room reported to the reception, who reported to our teachers, who finally scolded us. Kate and I actually slept in the same bed that night.

The next day, we built so many sand sculptures. A boy got pregnant.

No kidding. We were burying people in the sand, when the boy’s turn came, all the people unknowingly piled sand above the poor guy’s stomach. And lo and behold…. his little baby poo was called “Sandy Poochy”. The name courtesy of me of course. :)
